BIO

JENNIFER SILVA is an indie rock/alt-country songwriter and powerhouse vocalist, whose fire ignites every stage. With raw storytelling, evocative lyrics and an electric presence, she channels the emotion of Stevie Nicks, the soul of Joss Stone, and the grit of Grace Potter. Her music moves between haunting ballads and driving anthems, pulling audiences into a space that's both sensual and unapologetically alive. Her third full-length album, Runaway (2024), follows Purgatory Road (2021) and Bluest Sky, Darkest Earth (2018), solidifying her place as a bold voice in today's rock and Americana landscape.

Silva is now based in the Hudson Valley of New York, but spent over two decades living and creating in Brooklyn, with roots in Rhode Island.
She has been performing for over 15 years, throughout NYC at venues like The Bowery Electric, Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 2), Berlin Under A, Mama Tried, Brooklyn Music Kitchen, Pete’s Candy Store, among many others.

Silva performs with her six piece band at festivals thoughout the Northeast: The 2025 Beacon Bonfire Music, Art + Film Festival in Beacon, New York, The 2025 Ladybug Music Festival in Wilmington, DE (a 100% female led music fest), The 2023 MONDO NYC Music Festival, among others. In 2026, Silva began her monthly residency at Savage Wonder in Beacon, NY and continues to perform regularly in NYC.

A recent review from EARMILK, said “Backed by her talented band, Silva’s singing… is captivating. Her voice carried both strength and vulnerability, drawing listeners into her world. The music is modern and polished, blending rich instruments with a clean sound that enhances the song’s emotional depth.”

Jennifer’s has also collaborated with Leesta Vall Sound (direct-to-vinyl live recordings) and was featured in a year-long documentary photography project by Abby Moskowitz, whose “Women’s Series” culminated in a book and NYC art exhibit in Fall 2020.

Silva is also the creator and host of a monthly podcast called Through the Forest with Jennifer Silva: Haunting Tales & Ballads - a storytelling podcast that blends haunting true tales with her original music they inspire. Through the Forest is where ghost stories meet gothic folk, inviting listeners to follow the music deeper into the unknown.
